Liberty Fabrics’ Classics collection started in 1979, created to champion the most well-known and iconic designs from the Liberty archive all year around. The collection offers reworked and recoloured interpretations of our most quintessential Liberty heritage designs – including Art Nouveau motifs, paisley prints, landscapes and ditsy florals.
This is a scaled down version of Painted Journey from Liberty’s SS19 collection. For Painted Journey, the Liberty Fabrics studio drew inspiration from Marianne North’s incredible botanical artworks. This richly oil-painted floral design pays homage to North’s intrepid adventures around the globe, her nonconformist lifestyle and her incredible skill for the documentation of wild and exotic flora.
