    Description

These elegant, true vintage quilting scissors are ideal for quilt making and sewing. Strong and sharp (with two pointed tips), they can cut all kinds of fabric and thread. With a lightweight design and smooth, artisan-crafted bows, the quilting scissors are a joy to use on long-term projects. They could be the scissors that help you make your masterpiece!

To help you take good care of the scissors for years to come, they come with a leather pouch which is made by hand at Portland Works, Sheffield.

    Total length: 6″ / 15.24 cm
    Blade length: 2.75” / 7 cm
Material: Hot drop forged high quality stainless steel, for long-life precision edge retention.
    Finish: Hand polished

Care: After use, always wipe your scissors clean and dry, and store them away from any water, salt or humidity. It is preferable to store these wrapped (or encased) in dry cloth, dry leather, or a dry cardboard box, to protect them from airborne moisture. If you don't these scissors may be prone to discolouration or even rust.

About Ernest Wright: The history of Ernest Wright reflects everything Sheffield Steel has become famous for. Highly skilled craftsmen making supreme quality products. A lot has changed since the heydays of manufacturing, but we’re proud to be here and able to pass on the heritage of an ancient craft.

The quilting scissors are hand-crafted from fresh forgings. Producing these ‘blanks’ has been made possible through the refurbishment of a vintage die, which had been gathering dust for several decades.
