A complete kit to make a set of 6 exquisite Lucy Dorothy Wonder Crackers in Liberty Fabrics Tana Lawn. This innovative, reusable fabric cracker is designed to be pulled apart with a snap, just like a traditional cracker, fill it with thoughtful gifts and wow your family! The Lucy Dorothy Wonder Cracker is an environmentally friendly and cost effective alternative to the traditional paper cracker, as it can be reused again and again, with the option of adding a new snap each time.Â
Everything you need to make a set of 6 beautiful crackers is included in the kit. The comprehensive booklet designed by paper and textile artist Lucy Dorothy provides detailed instructions and diagrams outlining how to stitch the cracker from fabric, stiffen it with buckram to provide structure and how to add that all-important snap.Â
Choose from a currated selection of Liberty Fabrics Tana Lawn each with contrasting plain poplin and ribbon. Please note that the ribbon may change from the one seen in the images, but we assure you it'll be equally fabulous. Finished Cracker Size: 6.5 x 6.5 x 32cm approx.
Ability: Beginner/Intermediate: Each cracker involves stitching a few short straight seams using a sewing machine. A small amount of hand sewing using a simple running stitch is also required to complete each cracker. Familiarity with following a sewing pattern is helpful but not essential.
